What's another hour when you are already going three?
i thought this was all about the academics and people shouldnt care about sports?
Cant we all just get along?

    Re: Meeting in Norton.

There is already talk of petitions around town today for Recalls on the current school board and city council members if we decide to join the county, even though is elections next month all are running un-opposed. We left for a reason and I don't see a need to go back no matter if it is on a site in Norton, the only thing they can hold over us if the Vo-tech schools.
We as taxpayers have already sunk money into the high school to renovate it and is in good shape.

I really don't understand what the big push for "1 site" is? More "if i suffer you suffer" bull? Im with PVfan on this one, if your gonna do that crap, why not just go all in and build 1 big freakin school.

Close the little ones now, build 3 schools on 3 sites like they originally talked about and it will all be good.

    Re: Meeting in Norton.

I look for this one to go through. All the while, the big whigs of the CITY of Norton will be sitting back laughing and collecting big time.

Then a few years down the road, the same ones who fought the 3 on 3 will be going...
"Wow, it sure would be nice to have a school 2 miles down the road."
" It sure would be nice if the county was collecting the taxes from all the businesses that popped up around that school."
" It sure would be nice if my kid didn't have to ride 3 hours to play in that football game."
" It sure would be nice if my kid didn't have to drive from Appy to Norton, then down to BSG or Wise for his duel enrollment classes."
"It sure would have been nice is someone would have used some comon sense back then"
    So forth and so on.

Unfortunately yes...when you have the mentality of this, as I was told just yesterday..."I'm in favor of a 2-on-1 because our kids shouldn't have to go to BSG and play football on a rented field".

    *sigh*

I didn't like how they said they would try to take students away from the County school system if we didn't kiss their ass or whatever they wanted.
